The Faces at Dream Cycle
Darren has passion for custom bikes, and has come a long way from installing drop bars on his first banana seat single speed. With more than 15 years of experience as a bike tech, there isn’t much he hasn’t tinkered with. After years of BMX riding, messengering on the cold streets of Saskatoon, and commuting to work in cities across the US and Canada Darren opened Dream Cycle to provide exceptional service and quality products to bicyclists in Vancouver. Committed to building rock solid wheels and providing solutions to simple and complex mechanical problems; he truly enjoys the process of making your dream cycle come to life. When he’s not at the shop you can find Darren riding the sea wall, daydreaming about his next cycle tour, or spending time with his best canine friend, Dax.
Dax is a full-time employee of Dream Cycle who’s duties include greeting customers, gobbling up treats and giving high-fives to her friends. Like her dad Darren, she’s from the land of the Sask-quatches and thoroughly enjoys the cycling life in Vancouver. When she’s not at the shop you can find her running around Trout… Lake, swimming at Kits beach or catching up on back episodes of The Dog Whisperer. You might even find her wandering around the drive or begging for pizza crusts from The Pizza Garden (seriously, she heads down the block sometimes and gives people her sad eyes… don’t fall for her tricks).
